Cricut Maker Station

Use our Cricut Maker machine to cut hundreds of types of materials quickly and accurately, helping you make almost any DIY project. Includes:

  • Cricut cutting mats (varying grip strength, 30.48 cm2 (12x12 in) and 30.48x60.96 cm (12x24 in)/
  • Cricut tool set (scissors, tweezers, weeder, scraper, spatula)

How to use the Cricut Maker

Get Certified

To use the Cricut Maker by yourself, you must get certified.

Online

Complete the Cricut Certification Course on Niche Academy. You will be asked to create a Niche Academy account (requires email address) to view the full course. 

At your library’s makerspace

Check our events calendar to see when Cricut Cutter programs are being held or connect with your local Makerspace to set up a time to get certified.

Download the Makerspace Waiver & Guidelines form [PDF]. Complete the Maker Waiver form (page 1), agree to and follow the Makerspace Guidelines (page 2).

Book the Cricut Maker

Book Online: Browse and reserve maker stations on our online booking calendar, Spaces. You will be asked to create a Spaces account (and confirm your email address) to complete your first booking request.

Maker stations can be booked online two days in advance. For next day or same day bookings, please phone the library to ask if there are openings.

Please contact Golden library or Revelstoke library directly to book the Cricut Cutter at their Makerspaces.

Q: What materials can I use on the machine?
A: Here are few materials you can be cut on the Cricut machine and can be found at your local craft store:

  • Basswood

Q: Can I use my own device (laptop, tablet) to create and design?
A: Yes! You will need to download the Cricut application and sign in with your personal Cricut design account.

To use an ORL Makerspace independently, all makers must:

  • Complete a Maker Waiver
  • Verify your identity to staff with valid library card and photo ID.

You'll need a library card to use our maker tools. Get a card.
