Request the Active Start PLay Box - Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Request the Fundamentals PLay Box - Recommended for ages 6 and up.

PacificSport Okanagan's PLay Box promotes physical literacy through movement, play, and exploration. This lending program is possible through a partnership with PacificSport Okanagan.

Included in the PLay Box is equipment and activity cards with games designed to support children in their physical literacy journey. Children will learn fundamental movement skills which, in turn, will provide the foundation for lifelong daily activity. There are two versions of the PLay Box available to borrow: Active Start and Fundamentals.

Getting Started

Find an open space suitable for play – try your backyard, the local park, or even a room indoors. Choose a game on one of the activity cards, grab the listed equipment, and follow the instructions. Or make up your own activities with the supplied equipment – just make sure you are moving, playing, and having fun!

Remember to be safe! With all physical activity, there comes the risk of injury. Please ensure that activities are appropriate for the age of participating children.

Adult supervision is recommended. The PLay Box includes parts not suitable for children under 3 years.
