4. Do you have an ORL card and password?
You will need both to borrow digital books. If you do not know your password, please visit your closest library branch. You can reset your password online if your email address is associated with your library account.

Download the OverDrive App

Visit your app store and download the OverDrive App to your tablet or smartphone.

When you first open the OverDrive app, you will asked to create an OverDrive Account. Your OverDrive Account:

  • Authorizes the App, which permits you to open copyrighted materials on your mobile device.
  • Can be used to sync your bookmarks across your devices, so you can stop reading on your smartphone and start again at the same place on your tablet.

You can find out more about the features of the OverDrive Account at the following OverDrive Help link:

If you are using an older version of the OverDrive App (ver. 3.1.4 or earlier), you will need an Adobe ID. You will be prompted to create an Adobe ID the first time you attempt to download an eBook. The Adobe ID is another way of allowing copyrighted material to be opened on the App.
