Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED
All ORL branches are closed on statutory holidays

Free parking is available in the Westridge Centre parking lot. Conveniently located parking spaces are available for people with disabilities.

Westbank Library welcomes fire evacuees to come and have a cup of tea or coffee. We have books, magazines, daily newspapers, free wi-fi, computers (as well as a printer/scanner). For kids, there's colouring sheets, board games and puzzles.

Children who bring in their completed reading reading records after this date

will still be awarded a medal and certificate


Medal Ceremony

All those 6-12 year olds who finished their entire SRC reading logs are invited to the medal ceremony

Wednesday, September 7 at 6:00 pm.

Completed records must be returned to the library by Sept 6

Read with me Program for preschoolers is also winding up!

Deadline for entries in the final prize draw is 6:00 pm August 30. 


Get your reading log on or after June 18 and for every 7 days of reading throughout the summer you can enter to win

one of several $25 gift cards .  


Children's Knitting/Crochet Program


Resumes Tuesdays at 3:00 pm beginning September 13


If you are 8-12, come in and learn from a master!

Program is free but please register in  the library or by phone

Lego Builders

Join us for drop-in Lego building

the third Wednesday of the month

beginning Sept 21  3:30-4:30.

Ages 5 and up.



This program will resume Thursdays at 10:15

September 22-December 1

 For all children 18 months to 5 years.  Drop in for stories and songs the whole family can enjoy.

Parents or caregivers must attend. 



This program will resume Tuesdays at 10:15

 October 4-December 6


For newborns - 18 months.  Enjoy songs, rhymes and stories.

Parents/caregiver must participate.    


         All babytime and storytime programs are drop-in and FREE!

100 Books to Read Together Before Kindergarten

The Okanagan Regional Library is pleased to announce a wonderful way to make sure your child enjoys

some of the best children’s books available at the library!

 Pick up your copy of 100 Books to Read Together Before Kindergarten.


  Do you Knit or Crochet?

Meet new friends while knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, doing needlepoint, etc.

Some supplies will be available.

Dropin - all abilities welcome!

 Meeting Room:

Westbank branch has a meeting room available for rent. With a theatre style set-up, the room has a seating capacity of 20-25.

The room is available on open days and rents for $40.00 for the first 2 hours and $10.00 per hour for each additional hour.  

Bookings are not confirmed until the rental fee has been paid.

Friends of the Library

The Westbank Friends of the Library, formed in February 2001, actively support the work of the library and its staff.  The monies raised from their book sales are used to buy non-budget items and to sponsor various programs and events that take place in the library.

The Friends also organize the popular Wednesday  Evening Speakers Programs that take place in the library once a month during the winter/spring months.
