Join Your Okanagan Regional Library

Library Membership

If you are not already an ORL cardholder, we offer membership in several categories. Membership is free to all residents living permanently or owning property in the Library’s service area. For further details, please contact your local branch.

Identification

Adult residents applying for membership must present either a valid B.C. driver’s license or B.C. Identification Card (BC ID) with a current address, or two pieces of I.D. with one piece proving current residency.

Sources of identification may be:

• car registration / insurance
• student card
• band membership card
• passport
• voter identification card
• hospital card

Proof of residency may be:

• current tax notification bill
• utility bill in that person’s name
• official rent receipts
• letter at that address, in that person’s name (cancelled by Canada Post)

Library Cards

Please bring personal identification and proof of address to any branch of the Okanagan Regional Library to apply for a free library card.
