SUMMER READING CLUB

READING ROCKS!

This free club promotes recreational reading throughout the summer break and encourages kids and their

families to feel comfortable using libraries and library resources.  Studies show that regular reading over the summer helps kids to maintain or even improve their reading skills.  Help your child be ready for school in the fall by encouraging them to read every day or almost every day - Summer Reading Club and the Peachland branch can make it fun and interesting! 

Registered school-aged children will receive a package which includes:

• A bookmark
• Stickers
• A reading log
• A Summer Reading Club tattoo

Come on down to the library for contests, prizes and fun programs too!

All our programs are now finished, but continue to come down to the Peachland branch to pick up a colouring sheet and play Readopoly.  Keep reading and filling out your reading log too!

The Summer Reading Club Medal Ceremony is on September 7, 2010 at 7:00pm.  Please make sure you turn in your completed reading record before August 31st.

Teen Reading Club

The Teen Reading Club is a website for Canadian teens who love to read. You can introduce people to the books you've read, post reviews, share your writing, and discuss your favourite (and least favourite) reads with teens and librarians.
