Book return slots are located on the parking lot side of the library and are always open except for Halloween night and during our Easter and Christmas closures.

Free parking is available on the north side of the library building. Handicapped parking is located by the building in the parking lot.  If you require further assistance please contact the library.

Summer Storytime for ages 3 to 5Weekly: Every Friday

Join us on Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for an hour of fun with stories, songs, crafts, puppets, fingerplays and more.

Open Hours

Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Preschool Storytime

Our Fall Preschool Storytime will run on Friday mornings starting at 10:00 a.m. from September 24 to December 17.  This popular program features stories, puppets, songs, fingerplays and crafts and is designed for children age 3 to 5.  Please register at the circulation desk for this free program. 

 

Upcoming Events:

Co-sponsored by our Friends of the Library, the branch will be offering several free adult programs this fall.

September 20, 7:00 p.m. – The Friends of the Oliver Library Annual General Meeting will feature a speaker from the Okanagan Regional Library Headquarters who will talk about the library collections.  Join us for this informational session, an update on all the Friends’ activities and great refreshments. 

October 21, 7:00 p.m.Cultivating the Wild author, Eva Durance will be giving a presentation on her popular book and gardening in the Okanagan with native plants.

The very popular Friends of the Library Coffee Mornings will continue on the third Tuesday morning of every month.  Come and join them for coffee, cookies and some great discussions in the library’s reading area.

  Friends of the Oliver Library

The Oliver Branch has a very active Friends of the Library group. They hold their Annual Book Blast Sale on the first Saturday of July each year. Donations for their book sale can be dropped off at the Oliver Branch during our open hours or you can call the library to arrange for one of their members to pick up your donations.

The Friends of the Oliver Library are always looking for new members, if you are interested in joining them; please ask at the circulation desk for one of their membership pamphlets.

Books to Your Door

The Oliver branch’s “Books to Your Door” service is a volunteer program offered by the library that matches homebound readers with a volunteer who will pick up book selections at the library and deliver them. If you would like to be part of this program either as a volunteer or a recipient please call the library for more information.
