Summer Reading Club 2014

We had some Funny Business going on in the library this summer! We had four programs, two in July and two in August, packed with fun, laughs and amazement!

For our first program, we took an animated walk through history with the Heritage Players Club from the Grist Mill. Our second program was filled with fun information about how to "Eat Dirt" with Cameron Baughen from the RDOS. Worms anyone? Everyone was excited to see the return of Leif David, the magician for our third program, with his Funny Business themed magic show! Our final show tickled our ribs when we welcomed Trixie the Clown to our library. There were many hugs and warm goodbyes when she left us. We hope you all enjoyed the programs that we hosted this year and we would like to thank the Keremeos Friends of the Library for sponsoring our visit from Trixie the Clown and the Kelowna Friends of the Library for sponsoring Leif David's return.

Don’t forget that Summer Reading Club kids still have until August 30th to get your Reading Records in to the library to be able to receive a certificate and medal. We will either be presenting them during an assembly at Cawston Elementary or holding a special awards party at the library, depending on what happens with school returning in September. We will keep you posted!

Preschool Storytime

We will take a break over summer for our Summer Reading Club programs and we will return in the Fall!

Our regular storytime program runs on Friday mornings at 11:15 am
and is a free program for preschool-aged children that includes stories, crafts, fingerplays and puppets.

To register for this FREE program, please visit the branch
or call 250-499-2313.

The Keremeos Library has a "Friends of the Library" group which meets two or three times a year.  This volunteer group raises money through booksales for furnishings and displays for the library.

For information on joining the "Friends of the Library" group, call 250-499-2313.

We request that you do not place donation items in the book drop; please see library reception during open hours or call 250-499-2313 prior to donating. The Keremeos Library appreciates all of the generous donations we receive!
