Events 

Engineering Club at Downtown Kelowna Library (Ages 7 to 12)

Register online | Last Tuesday of the month | 6:00 to 7:00 PM

Complete a new project each month using common household items.  

Junior Engineering Club at Rutland Library (Ages 5 to 8) 

Register online | 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month | 3:30 to 4:30 PM 

Dive into the basics of the tech world with us! Learn about coding, engineering, 3D design, physics, circuitry and more, with hands on projects. New topics twice monthly!

Senior Engineering Club at Rutland Library  (Ages 9 to 12)

Register online | 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month | 3:30 to 4:30 PM 

Get hands-on and make cool stuff in the Rutland Engineering Club! Learn from a variety of topics, like 3D Design, Robots, Building Challenges, Take-Aparts, and enjoy fun introductions into related topics from Coding, Math, Science with a focus on practical applications. New topics twice monthly!

Want more hands-on STEAM experience?

Visit our Makerspaces!

At ORL Makerspaces, you will find equipment and tools for projects, digital media creation, and exploring and learning new technology.

Use Creation Stations for digital design or animation; cut hundreds of different materials for custom DIY projects with our  Cricut Makers; and you can even print three-dimensional objects using our 3D printers.

The details

  • Under 14? Your parent or guardian who is an ORL Maker must come with you to use the equipment.
  • Are you between 14 and 18? You must have your legal guardian sign your Makerspace Waiver & Guidelines [PDF] agreement.
