Our Re-opening Safety Measures

SCREENING for staff

All staff will complete a self-assessment screening at the beginning of each shift to ensure that they are fit for work to stop the spread of illness.

Customers are asked to do the same, and to stay home if experiencing any symptoms.

If unsure, please contact 8-1-1 or take the COVID-19 screening online test at https://bc.thrive.health.

ADJUSTING our workspaces to maintain physical distancing

Staff workspaces have been arranged to maintain a minimum of two metres between each space.

Signage and two metre floor guides have been added.

Library open hours have been adjusted to ensure the health of our staff.

FOCUSED EFFORTS on enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of all our branches and offices

High touch surface points have been identified and our cleaners and staff will pay particular attention to these.

EFFECTIVE usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The use of PPE has been evaluated for every work process and staff have been trained on these new procedures. Gloves, masks, hand sanitizer and soap are available for all staff.

PPE recommendations will be reviewed regularly and will adhere to all PPE recommendations by provincial public health authorities.

REACHING into our communities to provide virtual opportunities for learning and discovering and to provide great service.

Services and programming remain available virtually or over the phone to connect patrons with staff that can help in their technology, account, and information questions.
