Library To Go is a collection of downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks shared by libraries and library customers throughout BC. Rules for participation in this provincial collection changed late in 2011 and the ORL has started its own eBook collection called ORL eBooks. ORL customers will continue to have access to books purchased prior to April 1, 2012 for Library to Go, but need to be aware that any titles purchased after that date cannot be downloaded by ORL customers.
ORL eBooks is the ORL’s own collection of downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks. The collection is small but growing, so keep checking for new titles. If you to want learn more about borrowing eBooks from the library, you can view a short set of FAQs here.
TumbleBooks Library for Kids are online animated, talking picture books that can be viewed on a computer or tablet. The TumbleBooks collection contains fiction, non-fiction, read-alongs, foreign language books, and more.
Freegal Music. Download free and legal music from the Sony Music catalogue, up to three songs per week! The files are in MP3 format and will work with any MP3 player, including iPod, and can be loaded into iTunes.
Reference & Research. Access articles from current and past newspapers, magazines, and from encyclopaedias for free! You can search our databases to find in-depth information on subjects including automobile repair, business plans, genealogy, law, and more.
